Listings

Listings and photos sync across both phones.
New listing
HEIC straight off an iPhone is fine, it gets converted here. Saved as you add them, and never sent to Facebook - you still upload photos there yourself.
Personal stuff sold to fund the operation is tracked separately from business flips.
Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist are ticked by default. Add others if it's worth the extra work - music gear does better on Reverb.
Leave it blank. It works out what these actually sell for and lists at that plus 10%, so there's room to drop the price later and have it show as a cut.
Flaws, model numbers, what's included, why you're selling. More here = better listing.
Queue a few, then write them all at once from the main screen.
Round 1

How round 1 works

Four steps. Marlon does 1, 2 and 4. Drew does 3.

1
Organize the photos
Marlon
  • One folder per item. All the photos of that item go in it.
  • Put every one of those folders inside one folder named exactly FB Flippers - Round 1
  • Keep it. These are going into a shared Dropbox folder later, so don't delete anything once it's listed.
2
Add every item to the queue
Marlon

Tap Add listing and fill it out top to bottom, in this order:

  1. Photos - add one, just so we can see which item it is. HEIC off an iPhone is fine, it converts them for you. Photos still get uploaded to Marketplace by hand from your folders, so one is enough here.
  2. What is it - name plus the model number. Pedaltrain PT-CLP-SC Classic Pro beats pedalboard. The model number is what makes the listing good.
  3. Whose item - Drew's or Marlon's.
  4. Condition - pick one. It changes how the listing gets written, so be honest.
  5. Where to list it - Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist are already ticked. Only add more if it's worth the extra work.
  6. Price - leave it blank. Don't type a price. It works out what these actually go for and sets the price itself.
  7. Details worth mentioning - only stuff that actually matters. Flaws, and what is or isn't included. The lid on the washing machine is messed up. The small keyboard has no power cable. The big keyboard includes the 12V cable. That kind of thing.
  8. Tap Add to queue. It drops you back home. Start the next item.

These do not need to be perfect. The point is getting them up. Don't overthink it. Text Drew when everything's in the queue.

3
Write and review
Drew
  • Hits Write all queued from the home screen.
  • Goes through each one, checks the price, answers anything it flagged, edits what needs it.
  • Tells Marlon when they're approved and ready to post.
4
Post them
Marlon

One item at a time. Take one item, post it to every platform it's set for, finish it completely, then move to the next one. Don't do all the Facebook ones then all the Craigslist ones - you'll lose track.

  1. Open the listing. It shows the platforms to post it to right under the description.
  2. Copy the title, the price, and the description - each has its own Copy button. The line breaks are already in there, paste it straight in.
  3. Upload that item's photos from its folder.
  4. Once it's up everywhere, come back and tap Listed. It'll ask you to confirm it's actually posted. Say yes only if it really is.
  5. Next item.
Long term a lot of this gets automated. For now let's thug it out for round 1 and get all of these up so we can keep this thing moving.
Questions, just text Drew.
